Fresh off the back of featuring in the BLUES100 cypher, (honestly, go check that if you havent already!), the soulfully talented Sahra Gure is back with a new track ‘Take Your Time’. The new single is a collaborative effort with the London-based producer, Mom Tudie, and saxophonist, Quinn Oulton.
Sahra Gure is a Londoner and singer-songwriter, originally from Berlin. A truly multifaceted musician, Sahra also composes and arranges her music and in 2019 released a soothingly soulful EP, Love Me with Me that earned her a place on the BLUES100.
‘Take Your Time’ is a great track that amalgamates traditional Blues and Jazz with truly next-wave soul. From the laid back drum patterns and soft subtle percussion of Mom Tudie, to Quinn’s saxophone sections the track oozes class from start to finish. Then, when you add Sahra’s smoothly heartwarming vocal tones, ‘Take Your Time’ truly comes to life fully.
The track also has a strong message throughout, touching on the importance of self-love without ever coming across as preachy. Something that the blend of instrumentation and vocals really help with. Overall, ‘Take Your Time’ fits perfectly in that niche of Jazz meets modern Soul and we are simply loving it!
