A behind the scenes interview with Jordan Ward, one of the hottest rising names in R&B. Talking all things TEURWARD, his sold out tour and the music he loves.
Jordan Ward was one of 2023 music’s biggest breakout names. Making a mark with his genre-fluid and aptly titled forward-thinking debut album, FORWARD, he soon followed up as the opener on tour with fellow St. Louis native, Smino for his Louphoria tour. Jordan Ward has been unstoppable since with a string of collaborations with Larry June, 6LACK, Destin Conrad and more. Notably, 2024 has brought a string of festival appearances and bookings across the world.
We were excited to catch up with one of the most buzzy and musically interesting rising artists of the moment. Enjoy our backstage interview with Jordan in London and highlights from the show in our Tour Diaries interview.
Jordan Ward’s tour highlights
1. THE ENEEEERRRGY
It’s nice to see an artist live that truly brings the energy. Jordan delivered a performance that was raucous in all the right ways. The energy in the room was palpable and left us all wanting more.
2. Two words… WHITE CROCS
It needed a wheel up. Yep, that’s right, Jordan brought out Ryan Trey to perform White Crocs and got the crowd so hype, they had to do it twice in a row. Peep the energy in the video above. The song is a certified banger so if you’re not hip, go check it NOW.
3. Jordan Ward’s catalogue
The set was a well selected showcase of his catalogue and particularly, the album, FORWARD. Standouts were Lil Baby Crush, 311 (ft. Gwen Bunn), Cherimoya and, of course, White Crocs.
