We’ve been hearing the phrase ‘stream this song for clear skin’ on social media for a while. But it wasn’t until MINIKINGZ (BenjiFlow, Ragz Originale and Oscar #WorldPeace) dropped their first song as a collective, titled NEW SKIN CARE, that we’ve actually believed it.
All three of them have carved out their own individual paths in the London scene over the last few years. Ragz Originale and Oscar #WorldPeace have both been pegged as one’s to watch. Ragz Originale’s brush u is a UK R&B favourite. He has also been very successful as a producer, working with Skepta on tracks like Bullet From A Gun, Shutdown and Konnichiwa. BenjiFlow has been dropping banger after banger, including now classic Deep End and My Bella off his recent EPThe Thrill. Last but not least, we love Oscar #WorldPeace’s 2020 album Sporadic, featuring collaborations with, amongst others, Knucks, Etta Bond and Sam Wise. MINIKINGS is therefore a super group that is sure to have sick things in store.
Produced by E-Whizz, NEW SKIN CARE, features a synthy yet smooth head-nodder instrumental. The track is rap-led, with BenjiFlow providing the captivating hook, Ragz and Oscar coming in with cold bars. The visuals, directed by Jay Green, have a clean aesthetic featuring all three in black & white, facing mirrors, dancing with friends and getting swirled into kaleidoscopic shapes.
With regards to the track, Oscar #Worldpeace explains: “NEW SKIN CARE is a great introduction to the MINIKINGZ world, it was one of the first songs we made for the project, everyone bouncing off each other well on this. Shout out Jay Green on making the visual just as icy as the song.”
Ragz Originale continues, “I believe this song sets the perfect tone for us as a collective. The main thing we wanted to get across was the synergy between us, and the drive for energy… we want to shake the skeletons out of your skin!”
BenjiFlow sums it all up: “This is the start of a new world! We’re creating it, welcome.”

Ragz Originale
The trio have been using the name ‘MINIKINGZ’ for a while now, collaborating on songs like Mmm off Oscar’s album, but this is their first official release as a collective, in anticipation of a mixtape, set to drop later this year. Their versatility as individual artists is undeniable, and one thing is certain regarding the project; we are in for a lot of surprises.
