Sans Soucis is a singer songwriter from London. The name? a childhood nickname meaning ‘carefree’, an absolute epitome of the artist’s sound and style . Releasing music independently since 2018, she has been on an intense journey to find herself spiritually and sonically. 

According to Sans, her upcoming EP ‘On Time For Her’ is a pivotal moment: “I’m finally here for myself and I’m ready to seek happiness in life rather than being stuck in my past traumas,” she says. In regard to the title, Sans Soucis explains, “I use the third person because for a long time, I dissociated myself from my own feelings.” Sans grew up in Italy and moved to London as a form of escaping racism and a route to discovering her sound. She says “music saved her life in this context. All I wanted to do was cancel past trauma by turning the page with a light heart. Contrary to what I expected, eventually my trauma caught up to me. I found myself depressed and alienated from society before I even knew it.

In Sans Soucis’ words: “My music is deeply rooted in my identity. I value the richness of my ethnic and cultural background (as an Afro-descendent living in Europe), as well as my personal evolution, and I let that inspire my continuous search for beauty and meaning in music.

Sans Soucis is carefree, a planet where you can be whatever and whoever you want.”
