Intalekt is an up and coming English music producer from South East London trying to break culture. Intalekt is known for his so called “trippy soulful” music and has grown his discography through features with the likes of KALLITECHNIS, Marie Dahlstrom, Ayeisha Raquel, Tinyman and Lucy Rose. His prolific EP IIWII (It Is What It Is) featured UK mainstays like Jacob Banks Kojey Radical, Jay Prince and Ella Frank.
The distinctiveness of his sound has earned him over 39 0000 monthly listeners. The up and coming English music producer / songwriter takes a refreshing take on UK underground Hip-Hop, R&B and Soul. Intalekt cites influences ranging from Pharrell Williams, J Dilla, Thundercat, Flying Lotus and Kanye West, all of whom can be heard on his diverse discography. Yet his projects show a real love for the UK music scene, bringing together the best ‘underground’ artists.
As well as his own musical career, Intalekt is also 1/2 of duo Billy Dukes. Having crafted a sound that melts with a vocalist or lone wolf instrumentals, Intalekt is well enroute to a genre blending career which is crafted around the new roots of Jazztronica. The genre blends Jazz elements with other musical styles, such as funk, electronic music, and free improvisation. In his own words, The Masta is on a mission to “break culture”.
