After leaving 2020 on a huge high with the single and COLORS session for ‘Peng Black Girls’, ENNY is back with a new track ‘Same Old’. The talented South London rapper is going from strength to strength showcasing her ability to touch on real life in a way that easily resonates yet again.
Merging soulful R&B with hard-hitting lyrics, ENNY is in her bag on ‘Same Old‘, doing what she does best. Lines such as ‘F*ck you and friend gentrification, why’d you have to come onto my ends and try and change shit’ hit different, offering an example of ENNY painting vivid pictures throughout the track.
Ultimately, the track is ultimately about progressing forward regardless of the obstacles. When speaking on the track she adds, “There are so many beautiful moments and feelings attached to this track from the moment it was created, and I hope that anyone that listens to it is able to experience that energy when they hear it.”
Simply put, this ‘Same Old’ is a big tune consisting of substance and soulful vibes. Enny also just performed a jammin’ live set of the song on Later with Jools Holland. Check it out below.
