Since her debut album, Feels (2017), release and the acclaimed Ugh, Those Feels Again (2019), Snoh Aalegra has truly cemented herself as a leader in modern R&B. This week she made her return with a new single “Dying 4 Your Love”.
The track by London-based producer, P2J is an undeniable bop which still exemplifies everything good about Snoh Aalegra. Sonically, the bass leading instrumental meshed with moody synths and hard hitting drums provide a melodically haunting backdrop to Snoh soulfully questions her role within a relationship. Plus Snoh comes through with effortless vocals from start to end.
The visuals of the track are even more remarkable. Inspired by 90s nostalgia and futuristic sci-fi elements, it contains plenty of creative imagery. Speaking on the track, Snoh shared this message via her social media, “I want to send out a special thanks to the people that helped make this happen despite pandemic and all the millions of restrictions that came with it” … “Thank you all so much love you.”
