If having one of the standout albums of 2020 with Rose In The Dark was not enough, soulful songstress Cleo Sol is back again this week with a new single, Shine. The track leans towards that authentic lovers rock reggae sound accompanied by leading organ sections making for a truly heartwarming listen.
As ever, Cleo Sol does not miss vocally adding effortlessly oozing soulful elements throughout. Shine touches on the obstacles and challenges we all go through and the way in which going through adversity can help shape you into a better person. Lyrics like, “The world was made for you, so do what you have to do” really hones in on this. As well as the idea that we should grow and learn each day and live the light that is right for you.
Cleo Sol, who also features heavily on the latest SAULT album, Untitled (Black Is), is genuinely making music that will stand the test of time at her own pace with her own vision. This cannot only be respected but will be sure to provide her with the longevity she very much deserves. Shine Cleo, Shine!
