A special Elmiene interview, backstage at one of the biggest live music series of the summer, British Summer Time Hyde Park.
We wish summer wasn’t over but at least we can still reminisce over the incredible events we saw over the last couple of months. A prominent one being BST Hyde Park. The weather was impeccable much like the acts we saw on this day, notably Elmiene.
It was special getting to witness an Elmiene set at a festival as we didn’t quite know what to expect. He lead with a presence that could not go unnoticed. His seamless vocal clarity shone through and we heard every lyric and melody.
Standout moments from Elmiene
1. Elmiene Interview
Elmiene has been on our radar for a while now as we named him one of our ones to watch. We could not wait to get to know the man behind the music. It was truly a blessing to catch up after the set, where we laughed and reminisce on his incredible career thus far.
2. ‘Marking My Time’
We were in awe after hearing this song live. Looking around the grounds everyone’s faces looked perplexed because of how emotional and powerful the rendition of this song was. When singing ‘I’ve lived, I’ve died, I will survive’, the crowd joined in and walked away feeling they could tackle anything.
3. The Interludes
In between songs we were hoping that Elmiene would have a couple things to say and we weren’t disappointed. We laughed at his jokes and questioned how a tree had been located so perfectly next to the stage. It was beautiful see his character not just in his music but also when speaking to the crowd.
