DLT’s The Recipe 2024: the ultimate R&B festival line-up delivered

Jazmine Sullivan - DLT The Recipe

Showcasing artists of the highest calibre DLT’s brand new festival, The Recipe, was an all-inclusive victory. We know DLT for their day parties and weekenders abroad but DLT explored a new avenue with The Recipe. And long may it continue. An all-inclusive festival with something for everybody, dance tents, tooth gems, makeup stations, podcast stages and, of course, incredible live music. We thought it would be a dis-service to not to recap our day at The Recipe. 6 July 2024 was one for the books!

A breakdown of the acts on the day…

After 10 years the voice of our generation, Jazmine Sullivan made a legendary UK return at The Recipe

Jazmine Sullivan DLT The Recipe

This felt like a performance of a life time and something we shall be reliving over and over again. We witnessed a professional at work and everybody was captivated by Jazmine’s performance. Jazmine took us on a journey in the small time she had with us, we laughed and cried, danced and sang our hearts out. It was a performance we didn’t want to end and nor did it, as the audience sang ‘Lions, Tigers & Bears’ after the set wrapped.

SiR just knows what he is doing

SiR DLT The Recipe

This set was too cool, we got to rediscover his musicality, lyricism and stage presence. Singing crowd favourites like ‘The Recipe’, ‘D’Evils’,John Redcorn‘, it has to be said that the crowd felt fulfilled after seeing his set. He even brought out special guest, Scribz Riley, which we were not expecting!

The angelic Shaé Universe repping the UK at The Recipe

It is always a pleasure to watch Shaé perform, we have been supporters for a long time and every single time we see her the performance levels up. Of course Shaé opened with a beautiful accapella rendition but what we did not expect were the dancers. We even saw Shaé bring someone up from the Recipe crowd for a cheeky dance. For a second we forgot we were at a festival rather than a headline show! She also announced the very exciting news of a Tiny Desk concert on the way.

Stunning and captivating, Alex Isley had us in awe

Alex Isley DLT The Recipe

We have been waiting to see Alex Isley and her performance did not disappoint. She performed with such elegance and effortlessness, she was smiling throughout her whole set and the audience was smiling straight back. We have to shout out the live band as well because they brought a different intimacy to the day especially when playing ‘Good & Plenty’.

Ambré brought the smoothest tones and silkiest guitar riffs

Ambré DLT

Ambré has been one of our ones to watch and her performance confirmed why. The audience was holding on to every lyric as her songwriting is transcendent. Coupled with her guitar, we really saw her shine. This set was definitely for the lovers.

One word to describe Tone Stith’s performance was ‘electric

Tone Stith DLT

Tone Stith brought energy from the jump. Between the acts on the day there was a dance stage but when Tone Smith stepped on stage the party continued. Tone gave a true RnB performance with all the moves and it was beautiful to see how much love there was in the crowd for his music. Tone brought out Jaz Karis for their song ‘MET YOU AT A BAR‘, seeing this collaboration in person was special.
