2023 is shaping up to be another standout year for ENNY. The ultra-talented soulful rapper recently released her 6 track EP, ‘We Go Again’. The project is a superbly assembled assortment of songs, showcasing the overall ascension of her art.
ENNY describes the project as a care package that naturally came together and when explaining the process she added:
These songs weren’t made to be a project. They were created in random pockets of sessions throughout the past 18 months but life has turned them into a gift. A gift of growth and change; a gift to myself as a reminder that I’m still capable, and a gift to the people that have joined me so far on this journey. A care package.
A stand out on ‘We Go Again‘, is the third single from the EP, ‘Charge It’. As expected from any ENNY track, witty wordplay, vivid storytelling and a vibe that resonates are in abundance. Flowing effortlessly throughout, ENNY tells the tale of cutting loose of things that no longer serve you.
Sonically, the production is eclectically soulful enabling ENNY’s lyrical ability to remain at the forefront. Additionally, she displays a smooth and effortless flow that transitions between the song’s verses and hook.
ENNY also had a hand in the retro-inspired visual, which is equally impressive. Directed by Otis Dominque and ENNY for her directorial debut, the pair did a marvellous job of elevating the track with visuals.
Overall, ENNY continues to reaffirm her place as being one of the most important British voices in music today. Creating art that merges her passion and integrity as well as remaining effortlessly relatable.
