The multi-hyphenate talent and Grammy winner that is Venna is back with a new single ‘Tam Tam’, taken from his forthcoming EP EQUINOX. The soothing track is an instant smooth bop and features singer, JADA, on vocals.
As we have come to expect from Venna to date, the production is eclectic and soulful. Speaking on the track, the producer and saxophonist, Venna adds;
‘Tam Tam’ is a classic record that myself & the superstar JADA created. I started the beat in Eastbourne at a writing camp. I thought the beat was cool until I linked up with JADA & my boy Perry and they went crazy over it.
Having worked with the likes of Wizkid, Burna Boy, 6lack, Snoh Aalegra, J Hus, AJ Tracey and more, Venna is a well known presence behind the scenes in the UK music world. After learning piano from the tender age of six, a young Venna moved onto the Alto Sax at 12 years old, and the rest is history; attending performing arts school to hone his craft and even appearing in multiple bands with various acts. He received a Grammy for his work on Burna Boy’s African Giant.
JADA brings ‘Tam Tam’ to life, adding a genuine vibe on the song with smooth flawless vocals. Lyrically, JADA also impresses, explaining her stance on romantic love with subtle wordplay that is profusely striking.
The visual for ‘Tam Tam’ is as compelling. Shots used capture glances of Venna on his travels, adding to the all-round laid back feel of the song. 14th April, sees the release of Venna’s second EP EQUINOX and we are excited for another solid project after 2021’s excellent VENOLOGY.
