Burgeoning singer-songwriter, Debbie, is back with a new cut Cherry Wine. The single sees Debbie portray the story of grappling with layers of anxieties throughout. Debbie, signed to 0207 Def Jam, is on a steady rise and delivers heart warming vocals with topics we can all resonate with.
When speaking on the track she adds, “Sometimes I feel alone in a room full of people, it’s like the ultimate brain fog, and I can’t seem to get past my mental block and just socialise. ‘Cherry Wine’ is me talking about how I can be awkward at times and need some dutch courage (aka cherry wine) in order to relax and get comfortable.”
On its sonic rooting, Cherry Wine is eloquently produced by Fred Ball. From its piercing trumpet solo sections, to the constructed textures of the percussion and drum progressions, it sets the perfect canvas for Debbie’s emotive song-writing. For the visuals, Debbie opts for moody atmospheric settings at London’s iconic KOKO. Debbie’s vocals truly captivate alongside her vivid storytelling and it makes this a track to add to your current rotation.
