Rising R&B superstar LUCIIA has us mesmerised with her new song 365, the title track of her debut EP. With one foot in Havana, Cuba and another in Malmö, Sweden, the fiery yet elegant songstress has already been making waves in the UK with her previous releases, including a feature on UK Rap royalty Sneakbo’s Practice (Jetski).
“They say time heals, but what do you do when a year passes and you still think about them? … That’s what 365 is all about; the despair and lack of control that comes with missing someone after they’re long gone from your life.”
LUCIIA
About the track, LUCIIA said: “They say time heals, but what do you do when a year passes and you still think about them? When all you’re left with is the feeling of emptiness and helplessness? That’s what 365 is all about; the despair and lack of control that comes with missing someone after they’re long gone from your life.” The EP in its entirety explores the aftermath of a toxic relationship and the work that needs to be done internally. So LUCIIA is essentially speaking to herself rather than her ex.
LUCIIA’s talent as a vocalist, writer and performer has already taken her beyond Swedish borders to London and Los Angeles and allowed her to work with GRAMMY-award-winning writers and producers. But it really is on stage that LUCIIA truly catches her audience to the fullest; after a mesmerising set at Notting Hill Arts Club in London last year, and getting to share the stage with Alicia Keys at Brilliant Minds in Sweden, we can’t wait for her to return to the UK for a headline show.
LUCIIA is truly one-to-watch within R&B globally, and we couldn’t be more excited to see what the future holds for this star in the making!
