Hailing from Dublin, Ireland, Aby Coulibaly has established herself as a force to be reckoned with in the alternative R&B scene, with a very successful run of singles, including Taurus, Long Nights and Where u at with Monjola. Now, she’s back with her first release for 2022, On My Ones, an ode to cherishing time alone and being content in your own company.
Produced and co-written by Tev’n, a frequent collaborator with the likes of Celeste, Joy Crookes and Jeshi, On My Ones combines soulful melodies with sharp bars. It beautifully conveys the peace of mind that 21-year-old Aby is searching for. Aby explains that “On My Ones is about enjoying my own company and being by myself. I’ve always been that person to leave functions/ parties early because I’m tryna go home to my bed. It’s also about disconnecting myself from everything like social media, even friends sometimes, because I just need to sit with my own thoughts and emotions and be in my own company for a while”.

The fun and youthful energy-filled visuals for the song came out earlier this week, showing Aby having a great time by herself, with her goldfish and two of her friends. Moreover, it showcases how enjoying ones on company is the essence of good vibes.
Making up one-third of Chamomile Records, an independent label that Aby Coulibaly started with fellow artist Monjola and producer Moyo, Aby is one to watch. She embodies authenticity, honesty and great relatable music! We can’t wait to see what the future holds for this rising star!
