When we bring our community together, it’s more than just live music. We always create an experience to remember. On 26 October 2021, we did just that at our collab show with Sofar Sounds.
Together, we presented the future of R&B, Hip Hop Soul and nu-Jazz in an intimate Sofar Sounds setting in Brixton. It was yet another sold out show. We curated a secret line-up that we revealed on the night, featuring BLUES100 alums Ayeisha Raquel and Ruby Francis, and fusion-Soul rapper Tinyman.
The line-up was curated to highlight the varied range of sounds, talent and artistry of the UK Soul scene. Producer and singer-songwriter, Ruby Francis opened the performances, impressing us all with live renditions of her self-produced, self-written and self-vocalised singles. Then the homegrown Hip Hop Soul talent and dexterous lyricist, Tinyman, got the crowd hype.
Finally, we closed out the night with a rousing set from the powerful vocalist and performer, Ayeisha Raquel. The crowd was also treated to a show in the breaks by our wonderful co-hosts, Latir and Anna-Marie. It was all around a beautiful evening. Thanks to Sofar Sounds for the incredible opportunity. And thanks also to the incredible performers for stellar performances.
