Ayeisha Raquel - Starving, New Soul Music, new R&B

For the past year and through the pandemic, singer-songwriter and BLUES100 alum, Ayeisha Raquel, has fed us with a slew of lush feature singles and collabs with producers like Darkness, Nikhil Beats, Emil and others. And Friday 29 October, she finally released her much-awaited debut single, Starving.

The first single off her upcoming EP, How things have changed, Starving is a deeply introspective, Alternative R&B / Soul featuring all of Ayeisha’s artistic signatures – thoughtful lyricism, dreamy harmonies and exceptional vocals. Starving is a truly gorgeous offering about the need for deeper, more meaningful connections – something we all want and need.

Produced by the musical wizard that is Intalekt, the instrumentation immediately sets a reflective tone that invites listeners into stillness and meditation. Rich in texture, yet tender and light. The duo of Ayeisha Raquel and Intalekt promised and delivered, showing true musical mastery. Starving is a sign of much more richness to come from an artist that has established herself as one of UK R&B / Souls most exciting newcomers and we can’t wait to watch the journey unfold.

Che Ecru – eXplain myself
