Songwriter, Camille Munn, blessed us with her debut last November on the track Eighteen and has followed up very nicely with her latest single, Sunsets With You.
The track epitomises Neo-Soul at its finest, from its smoothly infectious soulful vibe which meshes saxophone led jazz percussion with boombap esq drums. This one simply slaps from the get go. When speaking on the inspiration and process behind the track, Camille explains, “There wasn’t a main inspiration when I first began starting this single. It was more a feeling where the beat took me. Which is produced by Hector Delicious. Once I heard the beat everything else flowed. It was very organic. And hopefully relays in the music. In the end it became a story based on passion, love. ‘Sunsets With You’ picturing life and the possibilities.”
That laid back, effortlessly organic style definitely comes through on the track, as Camille’s chilled and calming vocals certainly resonate throughout the song. Sunsets With You is a track for quarantine working from home playlists you’re rocking with during these uncertain times.
Camille Munn is an artist that has always been creating music, but only recently that she decided to put her music out there. “I’ve been making music forever. But I finally took the plunge a few years back to put my music on platforms for everyone to hear.”
Camille has plans to release music more music over the rest of the year. That said, she is simply letting the inspiration flow and is not trying to force anything in regards to the next steps. “I’m just really enjoying working at my own pace. Immersing myself in music. Connecting with amazing musicians across the world (thanks to social media). I’d hope more people are able to vibe with my music and for it to resonate in some way.”
