The sunshine is finally back which can only mean one thing…festival season is upon us! There’s so much great music coming to the UK this summer and trust us when we say, that you won’t want to miss out. So, we’ve put together a handy Festival Guide, to make sure that you know where to head to for good music.
Field Day
This 2007-founded festival has quickly established itself as a powerhouse on the London festival scene with a slew of award wins and nominations. And the 2018 line-up, is really coming through for the R&B / Soul music lover. This year’s headliner is none other than the Queen of Soul herself Erykah Badu. If you missed out on tickets to her sold-out tour last year, then you won’t want to miss this appearance. With this two-day festival moving to a new home in South London’s Brockwell Park from East London’s Victoria Park, you’ll be able to enjoy the new digs alongside an eclectic line-up of some of Soul music’s most multi-dimensional up and comers – Jordan Rakei, Masego, Nao, Moses Sumney… The list goes on and on, so don’t miss out.

Lovebox
All the stops have been pulled out for LoveBox this year. With Childish Gambino finally headlining a festival in the UK, he’ll be sharing the bill with the likes of SZA, Skepta and N.E.R.D, it’s going to be unmissable. If you’ve never been to LoveBox before, it’s like turning up to a party and realising that it’s your surprise birthday party. There’s so much to do alongside the music and the festival is also moving to its new home at Gunnersbury Park in West London, so you’ll be there to break it into its new surroundings.

Parklife
Representing for ‘urban’ music lovers in the North West, another award-winning festival with a line-up to die for. Manchester’s Parklife will feature the city’s very own son Bugzy Malone, who will share the bill with other heavy- weights including ASAP Rocky, Giggs, Vince Staples, Not3s and more. On the Soul music front, you can look forward to names like Kelela, Sampha, The Internet, Raye and more. They’ll be taking the stage alongside other boundary-pushing artists like Earl Sweatshirt, Tom Tripp, Tom Misch and Jessie Ware. With six stages to enjoy music from over 2-days, Heaton Park is about to get heated!

Bestival
Not only is Bestival set in one of the most beautiful parts of Dorset (Google Durdle Door), but this year, Lulworth Castle is set to jam out to the beats of Stefflon Don, MIA, Jorja Smith, Grace Jones, Chaka Khan, Lotto Boyz, Mabel, Ghetts , Kojo Funds and so many, many more acts. There’s so much to pack into the 4-day festival, but don’t worry they’ll be lots of spots to enjoy some well-deserved RnR during your down time.

Wireless
If you’re looking for a festival to bring acts that are on fire right-now in the Hip-Hop, Rap, Grime and R’n’B game then Wireless is the one! You’ll get to see the God-Father of Grime Wiley, the King of Grime Stormzy and the Jester of Grime Big Shaq. The US is also representing hard with J Cole, The Migos and the beloved Cardi B. But most importantly, R&B reps strong with PartyNextDoor, 6LACK, Mabel and more. This is the 3-day festival where you can head home, shower and sleep in your own bed after each day. No camping in sight!
