October’s been a big month for new music and we’ve rounded up the best ones we could find, cause we got you like that!
First off, we’ve got Ari Lennox’s Pho. Lennox is signed to J Cole’s Dreamville and is a Washignton DC native. The lead single, Backseat, has garnered quite a bit of buzz and shows off Lennox’s unique brand of alternative soul, with neo-Soul and hip hop influences. The more experimental listeners will love the first half of the EP, while you neo-Soul heads out there will live for the last couple of tracks.
For the fans of more classic old-Soul music, Timothy Bloom’s The Beginning is what you need in your life. Ranging from ‘doo wop’ funky tunes, to more down-tempo Motown-inspired Soul music, the EP has several gems. The Fayetteville native is a 2x Grammy award winning singer-songwriter that’s worked with Ne-Yo, Chris Brown and Smokey Robinson. So yeah, check him out.

Next up, Kalin White with Chapter 21. Kalin White is the 21 year old singer who recently went solo from the pop duo, Kalin and Myles, with the single Twisted. Chapter 21 shows he’s got solo potential.
