By publicly endorsing and even signing artists such as PartyNextDoor and The Weeknd that have seen rising popularity and success in mainstream / international circles, Drake helped shine a lite on a musical scene that has long bubbled ‘underground’ with raw talent and boundary-pushing creativity.
