Buzzing jazz singer, Niia, released her debut album, I, yesterday May 5, 2017 and also released a video for the album’s bonus version of Sideline, featuring our all-time fave, Jazmine Sullivan.
The song chronicles two women represented by, Niia and Jazmine, both dealing with the same man problems. In a statement to The Fader, Niia explained “f I was ever going to lose to another woman, I’d want it to be a strong, incredibly talented, beautiful woman. Jazmine Sullivan is that woman”. While, Jazmine Sullivan remarked on Niia’s “hauntingly beautiful tone”.
